Not an official GitHub answer, but the current June 1 AI Credits docs make the billing-entity split clearer than the older premium-request wording:
For your exact pre-June premium-request case, I would still ask Support to confirm the billing entity, especially because you have personal budgets configured too. I built a small browser-local worksheet/policy kit for this handoff if it helps you or your admin turn the answer into a written budget rule before the June 1 switch: https://copilot-aic.vercel.app/?src=gh-community-195560 It keeps usage CSVs local, separates Business/Enterprise credit pools and overage caps, and generates a short finance/admin packet. It is a companion checklist, not a replacement for GitHub's official docs or Support. |

Body
Hi GitHub Community,
I need clarification regarding GitHub Copilot Business premium request overage billing.
My setup is as follows:
My question is:
If I exhaust 100% of my included Copilot Business premium request allowance, and my organization has enabled the “Premium request paid usage policy”, who will be billed for additional premium request usage?
Specifically:
Will the overage be billed to my organization/enterprise because the Copilot Business seat is assigned by the organization?
Or will GitHub use my personal account budget/payment method because I have configured personal budgets for “All Premium Request SKUs” and “Models”?
Does the personal budget apply to Copilot Business overage usage, or only to usage where my personal account is the billing entity?
Is there any setting where I can verify or choose the billing entity for Copilot premium request overages?
Any official clarification or documentation link would be appreciated.
